Emotional Wellness Program

Stress, Depression and Anger

Are you feeling stressed, anxious, depressed, angry or out of control?  If so, WellnessMax Integrated Healthcare can help.  We believe that wellness involves the mind, body, and spirit and that healing in all three areas is essential for true health. You should know everyone experiences emotional pain.  Children and adolescents may experience this pain differently than adults but all feel difficult feelings such as grief, sadness, anger, depression and being out of control.

Emotional Wellness

Improving your mental and emotional health is essential for overall optimum health. Our counselor, Amanda Houston, LSCW takes the holistic view on wellness—an understanding of the mind, body, and spirit connection in our innate ability to heal. Being mentally “unfit” will drain you of energy and can prematurely damage cells.  Stress, anger, fear and loss all have a negative effect on our cells that can lead to further disease.

Traditional medicine has regularly demonstrated the connection between long standing stress and holistic wear and tear.  Feeling stressed, mentally fatigued, and angry not only effect how one may “look” but also one’s mood, behavior and reaction time.  Together, with an integrative team approach, an emotional health path at WellnessMax will explore and help you understand the relationship between your thoughts, your attitude, your physical health and holistic needs. Through the emotional wellness program, our licensed professional, guided by you and Amanda will assist you identify and remove the stumbling blocks along your path.  The key change lies in the discovery of those things that have prevented you from achieving total wellness before.  Soon you will be on your way down the path of a long and energy balanced life.

Our Programs

At WellnessMax we have programs and services to assist individuals in overcoming their emotional issues; whether you are a child, adolescent or adult, WellnessMax can help.  An essential element of healing is being able to work “through” one’s pain. We use the word “through” because this is precisely what one must do.  We don’t get over our pain; we don’t go under it or around it.  Individuals must walk through their pain and experience difficult feelings and emotions for true healing to occur.  At WellnessMax professionals are available to guide you through emotional issues to help your reach the other side of pain and achieve true wellness. Through a combination of cognitive-behavioral strategies, interpersonal counseling, reflective listening and building a trusting, safe environment, our guests learn to feel more in control of their lives and experience happiness and calmness again.
